Applicable Wage Rates. A. Classifications - Employees shall be paid the wage established for their classification and level. B. Out-of-District Premium - Exclusive of any other provision contained in this contract, employees assigned to temporary work during an out-of-district assignment which qualifies them for the expense allowance provided for in Section 15.1 will be paid an hourly premium of $2.00 per hour for all time worked on an out-of-district assignment. This premium will apply to time spent in traveling from a temporary assignment at its conclusion, but will not apply to the travel time or attendance at schools or seminars. When the premium is applicable to time worked at the overtime rate of pay, the applicable multiplier shall be used in determining the applicable premium.

Applicable Wage Rates. The wage rates applicable to Associates covered by this Agreement are set forth in Exhibit I attached to this Agreement and calculated in accordance with the following: a. The base hourly rate in effect at 11:59 pm on October 16, 2015 for each classification reflected in Exhibit I attached to this Agreement shall continue in effect through October 16, 2018. b. In the first year of this 2015 Agreement, each full-time Associate who is on the payroll on the date of ratification of this 2015 Agreement and has completed his/her Introductory Period shall be paid a one (1) time lump sum ratification bonus of Four Thousand Two Hundred Fifty ($4,250) Dollars (less applicable taxes), which shall not be rolled into the Associate’s base hourly rate. In the first year of this 2015 Agreement, each part-time Associate who is on the payroll on the date of ratification of this 2015 Agreement and has completed his/her Introductory Period shall be paid a one (1) time lump sum ratification bonus of Three Thousand Four Hundred ($3,400.00) Dollars (less applicable taxes), which shall not be rolled into the Associate’s base hourly rate. Associates who are on approved leaves of absence but otherwise satisfy the conditions for receipt of the lump sum ratification bonus will receive it upon their approved return to work. To receive the lump sum ratification bonus payment, the Associate must have been on the Employer’s payroll on both the ratification date and payment date (including those on approved leaves of absence). The lump sum ratification bonus will be paid (or direct deposited) prior to December 25, 2015 if this Agreement is ratified by December 14, 2015. On written request of the Associate, the Employer shall contribute the lump sum ratification bonus payment to the Associate’s 401(k) account to the extent allowed by the Employer’s 401(k) plan and applicable law. c. On October 17, 2018, the base hourly rate in effect at 11:59 pm on October 16, 2018 shall be increased by two percent (2%) or Thirty Cents ($0.30) per hour, whichever is greater, for each classification reflected in Exhibit I attached to this Agreement, with each applicable pay rate set forth in Exhibit I. d. Applicable Wage Rates. This contract is principally for services but also requires a segregable amount of construction, alteration, renovation, painting or repair work. Contract installation support requirements, such as custodial and grass cutting services are subject to the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCLS). Apply SCLS clauses and minimum wage and fringe benefit requirements to all contract services for such maintenance and support work. Contract services covering construction, alteration, renovation, painting, and repair requirements (i.e. roof shingling, paving repairs, building structural repair, etc.) are subject to the Wage Rate Requirements (Construction) (WRRC). Apply WRRC clauses and minimum wage requirements to all contract services for construction, alteration, renovation, painting, or repairs to buildings or other works.

Applicable Wage Rates. The Contractor acknowledges and shall abide by the University’s prohibition on use of 1099 independent contractors and owner / operator business entities wherein such individuals or entities are not able to secure and maintain workers compensation insurance. The Contractor shall ensure that all classifications of laborers and construction mechanics performing Work on the Project job site are employees of the Contractor or any subcontractor for any tier thereof, and that each worker is covered by workers compensation insurance. For this project, it is a University requirement that the Contractor and all Subcontractors and sub-subcontractors who provide labor on this project shall compensate each worker, regardless of their employment status, not less than the wage and fringe benefit rates prevailing in the locality in which the work is to be performed. At the time of advertising for bids on the project, the University shall provide the prevailing rates of wages and fringe benefits for all classes of construction mechanics called for in the Contract. A schedule of these rates shall be made a part of the specifications for the work to be performed and shall be printed on the bidding forms where the work is to be done by contract. Contractor shall also post on site, in a conspicuous place, a copy of all applicable wage and benefit rates, and shall provide the University with a copy of the applicable wage and benefit rates posted.
