Safety Act. Every employee shall, as a condition of employment, own and wear suitable protective footwear and other personal protective equipment required in the normal course of his duties, as may be approved by the Canadian Standards Association to meet the specifications prescribed by the regulations under the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act. This does not include raincoats or other protective clothing where the employee is required to work under abnormal conditions or during inclement weather.
