Common use of Return Travel Clause in Contracts

Return Travel. a. If a temporary duty assignment requires a traveler to be away from his/her official duty station for more than 30 calendar days, management will, to the extent possible, permit an employee to voluntarily return to his/her official duty station during nonworkdays. In accordance with applicable laws and regulations, the employer will pay travel expenses equal to the amount of per diem an employee would have received while on TDY.
