Retirement Cap. The Board may limit the number of qualified retirees under this Program to thirty percent (30%) of those eligible in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement between the Association and the Board. However, the Board may limit the number of qualified retirees who participate in the Modified Early Retirement Option (MERO) program or any other program requiring payments or contributions from the Board to the TRS to two (2) per year or 10%, of those eligible to participate, whichever is greater. Any such limitation will be in accordance with the requirements of the Memorandum of Agreement between the Association and the Board.

  • Retirement Payment Employees with 25 or more total years of service in the program, who give two months’ notice of intent to retire, shall be provided the equivalent of 16% of annual salary, or $16,000, whichever is greater, at date of termination. The payment shall not exceed $20,000.
