Resident Trooper Sample Clauses

The Resident Trooper clause establishes the provision of a dedicated state police officer, known as a resident trooper, to serve a specific municipality or locality. Under this arrangement, the municipality contracts with the state police to assign an officer who performs law enforcement duties within the community, often supplementing or replacing a local police force. This clause ensures that the locality receives consistent police coverage and professional law enforcement services, addressing the need for public safety in areas that may lack their own police department.
