Reporting Contemplated Absences. If, for any reason, an employee is unable to perform his/her normal shift assignment, he/she shall, prior to the beginning of the shift, contact the person to whom he/she would normally report, and advise of his/her inability to perform. Members of the Police Department shall respond in accordance with rules of his/her respective department.
