Common use of Removable Media Clause in Contracts

Removable Media. 11.1 The Contractor shall not use an unencrypted Removable Media if handling Personal and/or Sensitive Data on behalf of the Data Controller. COI or the Data Controller’s Information Assurance Team can in exceptional circumstances or if clearly stated as a requirement for the project authorise the used of encrypted portable disk drives (not supplied by COI). Any use must be in strict accordance with the rules regarding sensitivity and risks to information.
