Relief Positions. For the purpose of relief jobs: (a) the Company will post during the month of December and the job term will be for the life of the agreement and employees will only be able to bid on a relief job if it is at the same or higher classification. Master shift workers are not eligible to bid on relief jobs. When the Company is unable to fill any such vacancy as a result of having received no application bids, the Company shall assign the employee in General Utility with the lowest seniority to such job. When a new employee subsequently at- tains seniority status, such new employee shall be assigned to the job in question, if the employee originally assigned to the job chooses to revert back to his original job. Relief positions will be awarded in accordance with article 14:01. A person having successfully bid on a relief position cannot bid on any subsequent relief positions. Person attaining a permanent shift position will give up any relief positions held. (b) Master shift workers will be eligible to bid on the ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Relief position, but will remain in this role past the contract expiration unless the person bids into another permanent assignment outside the master shift or into control room position. Any replacement of this person will be on a non-overtime assignment. (c) When the Company is unable to fill such vacancy as the result of having received no application bids from employees, junior employees will be placed in these unsatisfied vacancies.
