Regular Week. A regular full-time work week shall consist of forty (40) hours per calendar week. Working schedules may be arranged by the University to reflect requirements peculiar to the task being performed, provided the employee is given a notice of a change by Wednesday of the preceding work week. When such a notice is not given all hours of the regular schedule will be compensated at one and one-half times the employee’s hourly rate. The Department will make every effort to inform the staff member if any changes are made to data entry into a payroll system after it has been signed and turned in for payment.
Regular Week. Five shifts, Monday to Friday inclusive, will constitute a regular week's work on all shifts.

Other temporary working schedules may be arranged by mutual agreement between the employee and supervisor. When such notice is not given and absent a mutual agreement between the employee and supervisor, all hours outside of the employees regular schedule will be compensated at one and one-half times his/her base rate.

There shall be a minimum of eight (8) hours for shift turnaround time; and time and one-half shall be paid for all regular hours worked within that eight (8) hour period. Only regular hours shall be considered for the purpose of determining the eight (8) hour turnaround period. Working schedules may be modified by mutual agreement between the employee and the supervisor. Staff members electing reduced summer schedules will maintain their normal fringe benefits.

In the event that there is no mutual agreement, the University’s rights in 3.2.1 will apply. Staff members electing reduced summer schedules will maintain their normal benefits.
