Regular Part-Time Commitment. A regular part time employee is an employee who has made a commitment in writing to the Hospital and who shall be available as follows: (a) Be available to work up to three (3) tours per week, six (6) tours per pay period as determined by the hospital. When extra tours are available, they shall be first offered to regular part time nurses in order to bring them up to their commitment of three (3) tours per week. (b) Available to work one (1) weekend in two. (c) Available three (3) holidays per year, in addition to either Christmas or New Year's. (d) Casual employees are expected to be available for and accept occasional tours as requested by the hospital. (e) Employees reporting sick will observe the following procedure: i) Employees taking ill or suffering an accident during working hours, will notify their immediate supervisor before leaving their duties. ii) Where an illness or accident takes place which interferes with the employee being able to work a scheduled or accepted tour assignment the employee will notify her or his immediate supervisor or designate, as soon as possible but in any event, providing at least four (4) hours personal notice unless unable to do so in extenuating circumstances. iii) ▇▇▇▇▇ to resuming work, following sick leave, the employee will provide reasonable notice to her or his immediate supervisor or designate. (f) The Hospital agrees to equitably distribute the available tours amongst all the regular part time employees in a unit(s), prior to the posting of the unit schedule and on the basis of seniority up to and according to their commitment, if the work is available, under Article D-2 (a). (g) Laid off employees shall be provided first opportunity to work extra tours after all regular part time employees are scheduled as per (a) above and in accordance with Article 10.09(b). (h) The following conditions in offering extra tours to regular part time nurses shall apply following the posting of work schedules: i) Employees who wish to be considered for additional tours must indicate, in writing, their availability in the manner prescribed by the Hospital; ii) A tour will be deemed to be offered whenever a call is placed; iii) It is understood that the Hospital will not be required to offer tours which would result in overtime premium; iv) When a regular part time employee accepts an additional tour, she or he must report for that tour unless arrangements satisfactory to the Hospital are made; v) Provided they are qualified to, employees may submit their availability, in writing, to work additional tours to more than one unit, if to do so is in accordance with existing Hospital practice. D-3 (a) Employees will not be scheduled to work more than seven (7) consecutive days, to be followed by at least two (2) consecutive days off. Part time employees may request a single day off.

(b) Available to work one Regular part-time employees as defined in F-13 (1a) weekend in two.
(c) Available three (3) holidays per year, in addition to either Christmas or New Year's.
(d) Casual employees are expected to be available for and accept occasional tours as requested by the hospital.
(e) Employees reporting sick will observe the following procedure:
i) Employees taking ill or suffering an accident during working hours, will notify their immediate supervisor before leaving their duties.
ii) Where an illness or accident takes place which interferes above, shall be scheduled on availability starting with the employee being able to work a scheduled or accepted tour assignment the employee will notify her or his immediate supervisor or designateseniority, as soon as possible but in any event, providing at least four (4) hours personal notice unless unable to do so in extenuating circumstances.
iii) ▇▇▇▇▇ to resuming work, following sick leave, the employee will provide reasonable notice to her or his immediate supervisor or designate.
(f) The Hospital agrees to equitably distribute the available tours amongst all the regular part time employees in a unit(s), prior to the posting of the unit schedule and on the basis of seniority up to their commitment and according to their commitment, if the work is available, under Article D-2 (a).
(g) Laid off employees shall be provided first opportunity to work extra tours after all regular part needs of the Unit. Regular part-time employees are scheduled as per may submit availability up to two (a2) above and in accordance with Article 10.09(b).
(h) The following conditions in offering extra tours to regular part time nurses shall apply following months advance of the posting of work schedules:
i) Employees who wish to be considered posted schedule for additional tours must indicate, in writing, their consideration. If a nurse has not indicated his/her availability in the manner prescribed by the Hospital, he/she shall be deemed to be available for all shifts until the schedule is posted. It is understood that a Job Sharer, referred to in Article K, shall always be deemed to have been scheduled up to her/his commitment. The Hospital will first schedule all regular part-time nurses twenty-two and one-half (22.5) hours per pay period prior to scheduling up to commitment hours.
(c) If all Regular Part-time on a given unit indicate non-availability for the same day or shift and have not met their commitment thus resulting in the Employer’s inability to cover that shift, the shift will be offered to Job Sharers(when their partner is not scheduled) and then casual part-time Nurses. If JS or CPT are unable to cover, a RPT nurse from that unit will be scheduled on a rotating basis based on reverse seniority.
(d) Any regular part-time employees who have not been scheduled up to their commitment will be offered additional tours based on availability starting with seniority up to their commitment.
(e) Regular part-time employees who wish to work beyond their commitment shall be offered additional tours as they become available in the following order;
ii1. Availability starting with Seniority on their own ▇▇▇▇,
▇. Availability starting with Seniority on other Units (these Nurses may only be offered shifts on this Unit once their home Unit schedule has been posted,
3. Job Sharers will be offered additional tours only when their partner is not working based on availability starting with Seniority, and
4. When regular part-time employees are not available, then casual part-time employees shall be offered shifts based on availability with seniority.
5. Job Sharers when their partner is working based on availability starting with seniority.
(f) A tour refused shift where a nurse has indicated availability is deemed to be an offer of work.
(g) For shifts ten (10) days or less, a shift will be deemed to be offered whenever a call is placed;. For shifts more than ten (10) days out (where the Nurse has indicated availability) a call will be placed and there will be a two hour wait time allowing the Nurse to respond prior to moving on to the next call.
iii(h) Casual part-time nurses will be offered shifts based on availability starting with seniority where no RPT nurses are available. Shifts will be offered on a fair and equitable basis amongst the units casual part-time nurses.
(i) It is understood that the Hospital will not be required to offer tours tours, which would result in overtime premium;premium pay.
iv(j) When a A regular part part-time employee accepts an additional tourwho, she or he must report for that tour unless arrangements satisfactory over a six (6) month period of time, fails to meet the Hospital are made;
v) Provided they are qualified to, employees may submit their availability, predetermined commitment referred to in writing, to work additional tours to more than one unit, if to do so is in accordance with existing Hospital practice. D-3 Article F-13 (a) Employees and the availability calendar referred to in F-13 (c) above, will not be scheduled notified of such in writing by the Hospital. A copy of the written notification will be sent to work more than seven the Local Union. If after six (76) consecutive daysmonths following the date of the written notification, the employee continues to fail to meet said commitment, it is understood that employee will be followed deemed a casual employee and will be notified of such in writing by at least two (2) consecutive days off. Part time employees may request a single day offthe Hospital.

(gf) Laid off employees shall be provided first opportunity to work extra tours after all regular part time employees are scheduled as per (a) above and in accordance with Article 10.09(b).
(hg) The following conditions in offering extra tours to regular part time nurses shall apply following the posting of work schedules:
i) Employees who wish to be considered for additional tours must indicate, in writing, their availability in the manner prescribed by the Hospital;
ii) A tour will be deemed to be offered whenever a call is placed;; to the preferred contact number provided by the employee.
iii) Tours will be offered by seniority to:
a) a unit’s regular part time nurses up to full time hours.
b) a unit’s casual part time nurses up to full time hours.
c) any qualified regular part time nurse up to full time hours.
d) any qualified casual part time nurse up to full time hours.
iv) It is understood that the Hospital will not be required to offer tours which would result in overtime premium;
ivv) When a regular part time employee accepts an additional tour, she or he must report for that tour unless arrangements satisfactory to the Hospital are made;
vvi) Provided they are qualified to, employees may submit their availability, in writing, to work additional tours to more than one unit, if to do so is in accordance with existing Hospital practice. (a) Be Nurses who are willing and make a commitment to be available to work up to three for five (35) tours per week, six shifts thirty-seven and one half (637 ½ hours) tours per pay period as determined by the hospitalwill be considered to be Regular Part-time. When extra tours are availableIf a nurse wants to have less of a commitment, they shall be first offered to regular part time nurses in order to bring them up to their (minimum commitment of three (3) shifts twenty-two and one half (22 ½ hours) per pay period, she shall submit her request in writing to the Hospital. Her request shall not be unreasonably denied by the Hospital. All regular part-time nurses in a unit will be scheduled up to their committed tours per weekby seniority including an equitable distribution of the available day shifts, before any casual part-time nurse are utilized.
(b) Available All regular part-time nurses shall be:
i) available to work one all three (13) weekend in twoshifts, if required. Those employees who are currently working two shifts (i.e. days/evenings, days/nights) under a previous grandfathered agreement shall continue to do so.
ii) available to work either the Christmas or the New Year’s period.
iii) available to work two (2) out of four (4) weekends, if required.
(c) Available three (3) holidays per year, in addition to either Christmas or New Year'sAll other part-time nurses shall be considered casual part-time.
(d) Casual employees are expected When regular part-time nurses on the unit have been given the opportunity to be available for and accept occasional work up to their commitment, the Hospital will endeavour to offer additional tours as requested by (including call-ins) to regular part-time nurses on an equitable basis on a rotational basis in order of seniority, prior to offering to casual nurses, subject to the hospital.
(e) Employees reporting sick will observe the following procedurefollowing:
i) Employees taking ill or suffering an accident during working hours, will notify their immediate supervisor before leaving their duties.
ii) Where an illness or accident takes place which interferes with the employee being able to work a scheduled or accepted tour assignment the employee will notify her or his immediate supervisor or designate, as soon as possible but in any event, providing at least four (4) hours personal notice unless unable to do so in extenuating circumstances.

ii) A tour will be deemed to be offered whenever a call is placed;
iii) It is understood and agreed that the Hospital will not be required to offer additional tours which would result in overtime premium;or premium pay and it is requested that the nurse advise the Hospital in cases where acceptance of such an offer will result in a premium pay situation.
iii) a nurse who wishes to give away a tour will do so in accordance with the above provisions.
iv) When it is understood and agreed that the assigning of additional tours arising from this Article will not result in a regular part claim for full-time employee accepts an additional tour, she or he must report for status.
(e) The Parties agree that tour unless arrangements satisfactory to the Hospital are made;
v) Provided they are qualified to, employees any Part-time Nurse may submit their her/his availability, in writing, writing to work the appropriate Employer Representatives for additional tours to more than one unit, if to do so is in accordance with existing Hospital practice. D-3 (a) Employees will not be scheduled to work more than seven (7) consecutive days, to be followed by at least two (2) consecutive days off. Part time employees may request a single day offthe alternate site.

iii) available to work at least four (4) hours personal notice 7.5 hour tours or three (3) extended tours or a combination of tours up to a total of 30 hours, every two (2) weeks (unless unable otherwise stated in the most recent employment offer letter)
iv) available to do so in extenuating circumstances.
iii) ▇▇▇▇▇ work as scheduled over either Christmas or New Year’s period subject to resuming work, following sick leaveArticle E-6. The commitment that a regular part-time nurse must make as specified herein is no guarantee that the nurse will be scheduled to work according to this commitment nor is it a restriction on the nurse as to the maximum time worked. Further, the employee will provide reasonable notice to her or his immediate supervisor or designatesimple making of a commitment does not automatically transform a casual nurse into a regular part-time nurse.
(fb) The Hospital agrees A Casual Part-time nurse is one who is called into work on an ad hoc basis. Casual part-time may be pre-booked up to equitably distribute two weeks in advance if all regular part-time and job-share have been offered the shift first.
i) All regular part-time nurses on the unit shall be scheduled up to their committed hours before any casual part-time nurses on the unit are utilized.
ii) Where extra tours become available tours amongst all the regular part time employees in a unit(s(subject to Article 10.09), prior to the posting of the unit schedule and Hospital will first offer them on the basis of seniority up to and according to regular part- time nurses on the unit providing no regular part-time nurse on the unit will exceed her commitment as a result of being offered such extra tours where there are other regular part-time nurses on the unit who have not been offered their commitment, if the work is available, under Article D-2 (a)commitment of shifts.
(giii) Laid off employees shall be provided first Where all regular part-time nurses on the unit have been given the opportunity to work up to their committed hours, the Hospital will then offer extra tours after all (subject to Article 10.09) to regular part-time nurses on the unit on the basis of seniority and, where no regular part-time nurse on the unit is willing to perform the available work, to casual part-time nurses on the unit on the basis of seniority.
iv) When regular part-time nurses are cancelled and the same hours of work or the majority of the same hours of work become available during the same shift, the cancelled regular part-time nurses shall be offered the hours of work according to seniority. If these nurses are no longer available or unable to accept these hours, such hours shall be offered to regular part-time nurses as above paragraphs.
v) Where part time employees are scheduled as per nurses have worked seventy-five (a75) above hours in a pay period and where the offer of additional work will thus result in premium pay, then the Employer will offer the premium paid shift (hours) to Full time nurses in accordance with seniority prior to offering the premium paid hours to part time nurses. In offering the work to part time nurses it will be offered in accordance with seniority.
vi) Work required in excess or extension of the nurse’s normal daily tour that results in overtime premium will be offered first to full time in accordance with Article 10.09(b)E-11 prior to offering those hours to part time.
(h) The following conditions in offering extra tours to regular part time nurses shall apply following the posting of work schedules:
i) Employees who wish to be considered for additional tours must indicate, in writing, their availability in the manner prescribed by the Hospital;

(f) The Hospital agrees to equitably distribute the available tours amongst all the regular part time employees in a unit(s), prior to the posting of the unit schedule and on the basis of seniority up to their commitment and according to their commitment, if the work is available, under Article D-2 (a).
(g) Laid off needs of the Unit. Regular part-time employees shall be provided first opportunity submit availability up to work extra tours after all regular part time employees are scheduled as per two (a2) above and months but no less than six (6) weeks in accordance with Article 10.09(b).
(h) The following conditions in offering extra tours to regular part time nurses shall apply following advance of the posting of work schedules:
i) Employees who wish to be considered posted schedule for additional tours must indicate, in writing, their consideration. If a nurse has not indicated his/her availability in the manner prescribed by the Hospital, he/she shall be deemed to be available for all shifts until the schedule is posted. It is understood that a Job ▇▇▇▇▇▇, referred to in Article K, shall always be deemed to have been scheduled up to her/his commitment. The Hospital will first schedule all regular part-time nurses twenty-two and one-half (22.5) hours per pay period prior to scheduling up to commitment hours.
(c) If all Regular Part-time on a given unit indicate non-availability for the same day or shift and have not met their commitment thus resulting in the Employer’s inability to cover that shift, the shift will be offered to Job Sharers (when their partner is not scheduled) and then casual part-time Nurses. If JS or CPT are unable to cover, a RPT nurse from that unit will be scheduled on a rotating basis based on reverse seniority.
(d) Any regular part-time employees who have not been scheduled up to their commitment will be offered additional tours based on availability starting with the most senior up to their commitment.
(e) Regular part-time employees who wish to work beyond their commitment shall be offered additional tours as they become available in the following order;
ii1. Availability starting with Seniority on their own Unit,
2. Availability starting with Seniority on other Units (these Nurses may only be offered shifts on this Unit once their home Unit schedule has been posted,
3. Job Sharers will be offered additional tours only when their partner is not working based on availability starting with Seniority, and
4. When regular part-time employees are not available, then casual part-time employees shall be offered shifts based on availability with seniority.
5. Job Sharers when their partner is working based on availability starting with seniority.
(f) A tour refused shift where a nurse has indicated availability is deemed to be an offer of work.
(g) For shifts ten (10) days or less, a shift will be deemed to be offered whenever a call is placed;. For shifts more than ten (10) days out (where the Nurse has indicated availability) a call will be placed and there will be a two hour wait time allowing the Nurse to respond prior to moving on to the next call.
iii(h) Casual part-time nurses will be offered shifts based on availability starting with seniority where no RPT nurses are available. Shifts will be offered on a fair and equitable basis amongst the units casual part-time nurses.
(i) It is understood that the Hospital will not be required to offer tours tours, which would result in overtime premium;premium pay.
iv(j) When a A regular part part-time employee accepts an additional tourwho, she or he must report for that tour unless arrangements satisfactory over a three (3) month period of time, fails to meet the Hospital are made;
v) Provided they are qualified to, employees may submit their availability, predetermined commitment referred to in writing, to work additional tours to more than one unit, if to do so is in accordance with existing Hospital practice. D-3 Article F-13 (a) Employees and the availability calendar referred to in F-13 (c) above, will not be scheduled notified of such in writing by the Hospital. A copy of the written notification will be sent to work more than seven the Local Union. If after three (73) consecutive daysmonths following the date of the written notification, the employee continues to fail to meet said commitment, it is understood that employee will be followed deemed a casual employee and will be notified of such in writing by at least two (2) consecutive days off. Part time employees may request a single day offthe Hospital.

Any casual employee who is not available for work and has not accepted work offered in a period of greater than six (6) months, unless they are on an approved leave of absence, may be contacted by the Employer and asked if they wish to continue their employment relationship or be removed from the casual call-in list.
(e) Employees reporting sick will observe the following procedure:
i) Employees taking ill or suffering an accident during working hours, will notify their immediate supervisor before leaving their duties.
ii) Where an illness or accident takes place which interferes with the employee being able to work a scheduled or accepted tour assignment the employee will notify her or his immediate supervisor or designate, as soon as possible but in any event, providing at least four (4) hours personal notice unless unable to do so in extenuating circumstances.
iii) ▇▇▇▇▇ to resuming work, following sick leave, the employee will provide reasonable notice to her or his immediate supervisor or designate.
(f) The Hospital agrees to equitably distribute the a unit’s available tours based upon seniority, amongst all of the unit’s regular part time employees in a unit(s)up to their commitment, prior to the posting of the unit schedule and on the basis of seniority up to and according to their commitment, if providing that the work is available, under Article D-2 (a).
(gf) Laid off employees shall be provided first opportunity to work extra tours after all regular part time employees are scheduled as per (a) above and in accordance with Article 10.09(b).
(hg) The following conditions in offering extra tours to regular part time nurses shall apply following the posting of work schedules:
i) Employees who wish to be considered for additional tours must indicate, in writing, their availability in the manner prescribed by the Hospital;
ii) A tour will be deemed to be offered whenever a call call/text is placed;; to the preferred contact number provided by the employee. If the RN is working at the Hospital when the shift is being offered, then the Hospital will endeavour to contact them on their unit.
iii) Tours will be offered by seniority to:
a) a unit’s regular part time nurses up to full time hours.
b) a unit’s casual part time nurses up to full time hours.
c) any qualified regular part time nurse up to full time hours.
d) any qualified casual part time nurse up to full time hours.
iv) It is understood that the Hospital will not be required to offer tours which would result in overtime premium;
ivv) When a regular part time employee accepts an additional tour, she or he they must report for that tour unless arrangements satisfactory to the Hospital are made;
vvi) Provided they are qualified to, employees may submit their availability, in writing, to work additional tours to more than one unit, if to do so is in accordance with existing Hospital practice. D-3 (a) Employees will not be scheduled to work more than seven (7) consecutive days, to . Four (4) days off will be followed by scheduled for full time employees for each fourteen (14) days. In any two (2) week period at least two (2) consecutive days offoff will be scheduled. The remaining two (2) days off may be split. Part time employees may request a single day off.

Regular Part-Time Commitment. A regular part time employee is an employee who has made a commitment in writing to the Hospital and who shall be available as follows:
(a) Be Nurses who are willing and make a commitment to be available to work up to three for five (35) tours per week, six shifts thirty-seven and one half (637 ½ hours) tours per pay period as determined by the hospitalwill be considered to be Regular Part-time. When extra tours are availableIf a nurse wants to have less of a commitment, they shall be first offered to regular part time nurses in order to bring them up to their (minimum commitment of three (3) shifts twenty-two and one half (22 ½ hours) per pay period, she shall submit her request in writing to the Hospital. Her request shall not be unreasonably denied by the Hospital. All regular part-time nurses in a unit will be scheduled up to their committed tours per weekby seniority including an equitable distribution of the available day shifts, before any casual part-time nurse are utilized.
(b) Available All regular part-time nurses shall be:
i) available to work one all three (13) weekend in twoshifts, if required. Those employees who are currently working two shifts (i.e. days/evenings, days/nights) under a previous grandfathered agreement shall continue to do so.
ii) available to work either the Christmas or the New Year’s period.
iii) available to work two (2) out of four (4) weekends, if required.
(c) Available three (3) holidays per year, in addition to either Christmas or New Year'sAll other part-time nurses shall be considered casual part-time.
(d) Casual employees are expected When regular part-time nurses on the unit have been given the opportunity to be available for and accept occasional work up to their commitment, the Hospital will endeavour to offer additional tours as requested by (including call-ins) to regular part-time nurses on an equitable basis on a rotational basis in order of seniority, prior to offering to casual nurses, subject to the hospital.
(e) Employees reporting sick will observe the following procedurefollowing:
i) Employees taking ill or suffering an accident during working hours, will notify their immediate supervisor before leaving their duties.

iii) It is understood and agreed that the Hospital will not be required to offer additional tours which would result in overtime premium;or premium pay and it is requested that the nurse advise the Hospital in cases where acceptance of such an offer will result in a premium pay situation.
iii) a nurse who wishes to give away a tour will do so in accordance with the above provisions.
iv) When a regular part time employee accepts an additional tour, she or he must report for it is understood and agreed that tour unless arrangements satisfactory to the Hospital are made;
v) Provided they are qualified to, employees may submit their availability, in writing, to work assigning of additional tours to more than one unit, if to do so is in accordance with existing Hospital practice. D-3 (a) Employees arising from this Article will not be scheduled to work more than seven (7) consecutive days, to be followed by at least two (2) consecutive days off.
