Regular Part-Time Commitment. A regular part time employee is an employee who has made a commitment in writing to the Hospital and who shall be available as follows:
(a) Be available to work up to three (3) tours per week, six (6) tours per pay period as determined by the hospital. When extra tours are available, they shall be first offered to regular part time nurses in order to bring them up to their commitment of three (3) tours per week.
(b) Available to work one (1) weekend in two.
(c) Available three (3) holidays per year, in addition to either Christmas or New Year's.
(d) Casual employees are expected to be available for and accept occasional tours as requested by the hospital.
(e) Employees reporting sick will observe the following procedure:
i) Employees taking ill or suffering an accident during working hours, will notify their immediate supervisor before leaving their duties.
ii) Where an illness or accident takes place which interferes with the employee being able to work a scheduled or accepted tour assignment the employee will notify her or his immediate supervisor or designate, as soon as possible but in any event, providing at least four (4) hours personal notice unless unable to do so in extenuating circumstances.
iii) ▇▇▇▇▇ to resuming work, following sick leave, the employee will provide reasonable notice to her or his immediate supervisor or designate.
(f) The Hospital agrees to equitably distribute the available tours amongst all the regular part time employees in a unit(s), prior to the posting of the unit schedule and on the basis of seniority up to and according to their commitment, if the work is available, under Article D-2 (a).
(g) Laid off employees shall be provided first opportunity to work extra tours after all regular part time employees are scheduled as per (a) above and in accordance with Article 10.09(b).
(h) The following conditions in offering extra tours to regular part time nurses shall apply following the posting of work schedules:
i) Employees who wish to be considered for additional tours must indicate, in writing, their availability in the manner prescribed by the Hospital;
ii) A tour will be deemed to be offered whenever a call is placed;
iii) It is understood that the Hospital will not be required to offer tours which would result in overtime premium;
iv) When a regular part time employee accepts an additional tour, she or he must report for that tour unless arrangements satisfactory to the Hospital are made;

Regular Part-Time Commitment. A regular part-time employee must agree to work a predetermined schedule and her/his commitment will include:
i) Available for work for two (2) weekends in a three (3) week period.
ii) Available to work all shifts. The Hospital will consider individual tour preferences.
iii) Available to work at least six (6) tours in a two (2) week period.
iv) Available to work as scheduled on any tour on either:
(a) Christmas - 5 days including Christmas Day
(b) New Year’s - 5 days including New Year’s Day
Regular Part-Time Commitment. A regular part-time employee’s commitment to be available will include:
i) available to work at least twelve (12) tours in a six (6) week period;
ii) available to work three (3) weekends in a six (6) week period;
iii) available to work as scheduled for four (4) tours at either Christmas or New Year’s.
i) The Employer agrees to schedule regular part-time employees according to their commitment on the posted schedule on that unit.
ii) Where extra tours become available, they will first be offered on the basis of seniority to regular part-time employees provided that no employee will exceed her/his commitment as a result of being offered such extra tours where there are regular part-time employees who have not been offered their commitment of shifts.
iii) Where all regular part-time employees have been given the opportunity to work up to their committed tours in the posted schedule, extra tours will then be offered to regular part-time employees on the basis of seniority.
iv) Where no regular part-time employee is willing to perform the available work, the tour will be offered to casual part-time employees on the basis of seniority.
v) An error in the above mechanism for shift distribution initiated by a local member will be resolved by offering the aggrieved employee a shift as an extra employee at a time agreeable to the employee. Such shift will not result in premium payment. An error in the above mechanism for shift distribution initiated by the Employer will result in the aggrieved employee being paid and receiving seniority for the missed shift.
Regular Part-Time Commitment. (a) Regular part-time nurses must be available for work on the following basis:
i) to be available to work their hired commitment per pay period minus their individual vacation requests and approved leaves of absence;
ii) to rotate regularly on two (2) shifts unless mutually agreed.
Regular Part-Time Commitment i) The regular part-time commitment referred to in Article 2.05 shall be to be available to work four (4) 7.5 hour tours or three (3) 11.25 hour tours in a bi-weekly pay period.
ii) Available for scheduling twelve (12) months of the year unless the employee is on scheduled weeks of vacation or an approved leave of absence.
iii) For 7½ Hour Tours – available to work three (3) weekends in every six (6) week period with a maximum of two (2) consecutive weekends worked;
iv) Available to work on either the Christmas holidays (including December 24th night shift, December 25th and December 26th), or the New Year’s holidays (including December 31st night shift and January 1st), and in addition, at least four (4) other holidays during the year, two (2) of which will be those that fall between the dates of May 15th and September 15th of each year.
v) Leaves of absence granted under Article 11 of the Central Hospital collective agreement, may result in the regular part-time employee not being scheduled the minimum part-time commitment as identified above.
vi) Regular part-time employees will not be required to work their full commitment in any pay period where a week of vacation is scheduled.
vii) It is understood that part-time employees will be available all three shifts and will take standby/on-call shifts for any unit that has standby/on-call assignments.
Regular Part-Time Commitment. (a) Regular Part-Time Employees are required to submit their availability/non-availability a minimum of two (2) weeks in advanced of the schedule being posted on the required form. If it is not submitted, then the regular part-time employees may be scheduled up to the commitment of forty-five (45) hours based on the needs of the unit. The regular part-time employee must be available for work:
(i) At least up to forty-five (45) hours per pay period, either on a predetermined basis, or otherwise as per their availability. Once posted, this commitment will no longer apply.
(ii) At least two (2) weekends off in four (4):
(iii) Available for scheduling twelve (12) months of the year unless the employee is on scheduled week(s) of vacation or an approved leave of absence.
(iv) Available to work on either December 24, 25 or December 25, 26 when required to work Christmas or on December 31 and January 1 when required to work New Years’, and in addition at least four (4) other holidays during the year.
(v) Personal leaves of absence granted under Article 11 and may result in the regular part-time employee not being scheduled the minimum part-time commitment as identified above.
(vi) Regular part-time employees will not be required to work their full commitment in any pay period where a week of vacation is scheduled in accordance with Article I-12.
(b) Part-time Scheduling
(i) All regular part-time employees in a unit shall be scheduled up to forty-five (45) hours per pay period by seniority.
(ii) Predetermined shifts shown on the master rotor and the tours available from pre-scheduled vacation and leaves of absence will first be assigned to regular part-time employees on an equitable basis in accordance with seniority.
i) Once all regular part-time employees on the unit have been scheduled for forty-five (45) hours per pay period, extra tours will then be scheduled to regular part-time employees on the unit on the basis of seniority, who have indicated their availability, up to 75 hours per pay period, on a equitable basis.
ii) No employee will be scheduled to work three (3) different tours (days, Nights, Evenings) in a week.
iii) No employee shall be scheduled to work three (3) or more consecutive night tours unless requested by the employee or mutually agreed between the Employee and the Hospital.
iv) Any remaining tours after iii) above will then be offered to casual part-time employees. Any additional tours, which become available after schedules are posted:

Regular Part-Time Commitment. A regular part-time Employee is defined as an Employee who signs and files with the Hospital through its nursing office a written commitment, which will include the following conditions:
Regular Part-Time Commitment i) Available for scheduling on all shifts twelve (12) months of the year, unless she/he is on scheduled vacation or an approved leave of absence;
ii) Available to work a minimum of six (6) tours in each biweekly pay period;
iii) Available to work every other weekend;
iv) Available to work on either Christmas Day or New Year’s Day;
v) Available to work on at least four (4) other statutory holidays as defined in Article 12.
01. The six (6) tours within any biweekly pay period shall include the every other weekend to be worked and further the Christmas Day or New Year’s Day requirement.
Regular Part-Time Commitment. Regular Part-time employees making a 0.4-0.8 FTE commitment will be available to be scheduled on the following basis:
Regular Part-Time Commitment. The predetermined basis upon which the commitment of a regular part-time nurse is made shall be as follows:
(a) Available on a predetermined scheduled basis twelve (12) months of the year less earned vacation.
(b) available to work three (3) weekends in six (6);
(c) available to work all three (3) shifts (days, evenings and nights);
(d) available to work at least three (3) scheduled seven and one half (7 1/2) hour tours per week or two (2) extended eleven and one quarter (11 ¼) hour tours per week or any combination up to forty-five (45) hours in a two (2) week period; and
(e) available to work as scheduled over either the Christmas or New Year’s period subject to Article F-11.
(f) available for six (6) stat holidays two (2) of which when required by the Hospital will be those that fall between the dates of May 15 and September 15 of each year.
(g) Regular part-time nurses who wish to be considered for additional shifts above their commitment must submit their availability in writing to their Manager by March 1 and September 1 each year. Such changes will take effect on the next posted schedule and will remain in effect until the nurse submits a new request as per the timelines immediately above. In the case of a nurse whose availability changes during the timeframes above due to unforeseen circumstances, the nurse will discuss such changes with her/his Manager.
