Common use of Regular Hours Clause in Contracts

Regular Hours. ‌ Except for specific provisions of this Article to the contrary, the regular hours of work each day shall normally be consecutive. Any employee may, with the Employer's approval, split his/her shift into two (2) segments. Employees shall not be discriminated against for failure to volunteer for a split shift. When an employee works a split shift, the number of hours worked must total a minimum of eight (8) hours in a twenty-four (24) hour period.
