Common use of Recurrence of Disability Clause in Contracts

Recurrence of Disability. If an eligible employee ceases to be totally disabled after receiving benefits and, while covered hereunder again becomes totally disabled due to the same or a related cause, the later disability will be considered to be a continuation of the previous disability unless such employee completely recovered from the previous disability and was continuously actively employed full time and for full pay for a period of at least 60 days after termination of the previous disability.

No benefit will be paid if an employee is entitled to receive any other group income benefits, on account of the previous their disability.
