Common use of Recreation Leave Clause in Contracts

Recreation Leave. (i) Employees will receive six (6) weeks recreation leave per year. (ii) Annual leave loading is included in base salary. (iii) Employees are required to take the equivalent of a minimum of 10 continuous days of Annual Leave in any leave year (1 December to 30 November). (iv) Annual leave can be taken with a combination of Leave Without Pay, subject to NPWS convenience. (v) Employees receiving six (6) weeks annual leave may accrue a maximum of 50 days leave. (vi) An employee may apply to accrue leave in excess of the relevant maximum in accordance with the provisions of the Government Sector Employment Act 2013 as varied. (ix) Employees working in the Western Division of the State, as defined in the 2nd schedule of the Crown Lands Consolidation Act, 1913, shall accrue an extra five (5) working days annual leave per year. (x) An employee entitled to additional recreation leave under clause (ix) can elect at any time to cash out the additional recreation leave.
