RECOGNITION & SCOPE. 3.01 The Employer recognizes the Union as the sole and exclusive bargaining agent for all Stagehands employed by ▇▇▇▇▇ University in the Niagara Region and the City of ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ in the Province of Ontario, save and except supervisors and those above the rank of supervisor and those already covered by a pre-existing collective agreement. For the purpose of clarity, the parties agree that Stagehands include the positions of Technical Director, Head of Wardrobe, Head of Stage Construction (formerly Theatre Technical Production Assistant), Theatre Technicians, Production Runner, and students hired as casual helpers commonly referred to as “Stagehands” and “Wardrobe Assistants”. 3.02 Supervisory personnel and employees not covered by the terms of this Agreement shall not work on any jobs which are normally done by employees covered by this Agreement except for the purposes of instruction, experimentation, and emergencies. Notwithstanding the foregoing, in the event of an emergency the employer will make all reasonable efforts to ensure that Bargaining Unit work shall be performed by members of the Bargaining Unit as defined in Article 3.01.
