Common use of Receipt and Holding of Assets Clause in Contracts

Receipt and Holding of Assets. The Series will deliver or cause to be delivered to the Custodian all Assets owned by it at any time during the period of this Custody Agreement. The Custodian will not be responsible for such Assets until actually received. The Board specifically authorizes the Custodian to hold Assets or other property of the Series with any domestic subcustodian or Securities Depository, and Foreign Custodians or Eligible Securities Depositories in the Foreign Countries as provided in Article II, as may be directed by the Fund or its investment adviser or subadviser, as the case may be. Assets of the Series deposited in a Securities Depository or Eligible Securities Depositories will be reflected in an account or accounts which include only assets held by the Custodian or a Foreign Custodian for its customers.
