Reassignment Due to Layoff. 1. For the purpose of this Article, “reassignment” shall be defined as a change of an employee’s assignment to a different program and/or a movement from one work site to another as a result of a certificated personnel layoff pursuant to Education Code section 44955. This definition specifically excludes any transfer or change in assignment which does not result from the District’s reassignment pursuant to Section 44955 of the Education Code.
2. Reassignment due to layoff shall be determined through the layoff hearing proceedings.

10.2.2 Any unit member scheduled to be reassigned shall be entitled to a written notice of such reassignment at least ten (10) calendar days prior to the effective date of such reassignment and, in addition, upon request, will be entitled to a conference with the principal and the Superintendent regarding the reassignment, at which time the unit member will be provided with the reasons for the reassignment and with the opportunity to discuss those reasons.
