Our primary measure to numerous state government agencies for whom we provided IV&V services; successful implementation of their technology initiatives. The Xxxxx Xxxxxxxx Approach Xxxxx Xxxxxxxx’x approach to delivering IV&V services is to engage a small, highly experienced team that can quickly synthesize information to identify significant risks and issues, and report them to leadership in a manner that will facilitate timely, fact-based decision-making. We provide an independent, objective view of project efforts to ensure the customer’s (in this case, DMS, the agency, and the citizens of Florida) interests are protected. Our intent is to minimize the burden of our activities on the project team while obtaining first-hand data and information. The Xxxxx Xxxxxxxx IV&V Methodology Xxxxx Xxxxxxxx has developed a proprietary IV&V Methodology that we use as the foundation for all of our independent assessment projects. This methodology is readily tailored to the specific needs of individual projects. Our use of the Methodology and its associated tools ensures that our project teams deliver consistent, thorough, and independent assessments for each area within scope. In developing our Methodology, we leveraged a number of leading professional standards and guidelines, including: § Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®), 4th edition; § ISO 31000:2009, Risk Management – Principles and Guidelines; § Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3; § Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 1012-2012 standards (System and Software Verification and Validation); § IEEE 12207 standards (software development), in particular Standard 730 – SQAP (Software Quality Assurance Plans) section 12, “Supplier Control” and Standard 1058 – software project management plans; § American Society for Quality Body of Knowledge (QBOK); § Department of Defense (DoD) Instruction 5000 addressing operation of acquisition systems; § Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI); and § CMMI for Acquisition (CMMI-ACQ).
