Common use of Quality Standards Clause in Contracts

Quality Standards. 1. All licensed health plans offered to State employees shall be accredited by the National Committee for Quality Assurance unless the health plan is of a type not accredited by NCQA. The NCQA accreditation requirement may be waived by the Director of DAS after consultation with the JHCC to evaluate whether the quality measures can be met without the NCQA certification. The JHCC may require that any other health plans offered to State employees be accredited by an appropriate accreditation body.
