PTO Schedule Clause Samples
PTO Schedule. Employees who have completed 6 months or more continuous service with the City since their last hiring date and have worked not less than eighteen hundred (960) hours during each anniversary year, shall receive PTO with pay in accordance with the following:
(a) Six (6) months continuous service: 56 hours.
(b) One (1), but less than two (2) years of continuous service: 96 hours.
(c) Two (2), but less than seven (7) years of continuous service: 136 hours.
(d) Seven (7) but less than thirteen (13) years of continuous service: 176 hours.
(e) Thirteen (13) years but less than twenty years or more of continuous service: 216 hours.
(f) Twenty years or more of continuous service: 256 hours.
(g) For those employees working less than eighteen hundred (1800) hours during their anniversary year, PTO will be prorated based on actual hours worked in comparison with eighteen hundred (1800) hours. NOTE: Service time for calculating PTO benefits shall be given for all leaves fully paid by the City. Service time shall also be credited for employees officially off work on Workers' Disability Compensation. However, employees on Workers' Disability Compensation shall not be allowed to take PTO. It is understood and agreed that employees off work on Sickness and Accident shall not receive service time credit for hours off work.
PTO Schedule. All regular, permanent employees shall accrue PTO according to the following schedule: Six (6) months 56 hours 1 but less than 2 years 96 hours 2 but less than 7 years 136 hours 7 but less than 13 years 176 hours 13 but less than 20 years 216 hours 20 years or more 256 hours Employees working less than 1800 hours during their anniversary year shall have their PTO benefit prorated based on actual hours worked in comparison with 1800 hours. Service time for calculating PTO benefits shall be given for all leaves fully paid by the City. Employees shall be given credit for hours lost from work due to Workers' Comp injuries (maximum of 300 hours) and/or time served on active military duty. However, employees on Workers' Disability Compensation shall not be allowed to take PTO. Time spent under the City’s Sickness and Accident Policy shall not count as service for the calculation of PTO benefits. Except as provided in this paragraph, PTO must be taken or forfeited and shall not be cumulative from year to year. However, an employee may carry over 40 hours for any reason without prior approval. If, after carry-over of 40 hours, the employee has any PTO remaining, it will be lost. Loss of PTO is not subject to the grievance procedure.

PTO Schedule. Every regular full time employee shall be entitled to Paid Time Off in accordance with the following provisions:
A) Selection of PTO shall be determined by Dispatch Supervisor seniority in accordance with policies established by the City. For PTO picks beginning with the September, 2001 picks, the process shall be as follows:
(1) Dispatch Supervisors shall have absolute first choice of vacation selection up to fourteen (14) PTO days per supervisor per calendar year; then
(2) In the event of conflict regarding vacation selections for days in excess of fourteen (14), total dispatch seniority shall prevail.

2. Employee can roll over up to 480 hours of PTO from year to year. Hours 481 through 560 will be paid at 100%. Hours 561+ will be forfeited on a calendar year basis.
3. Employees participating in the Flexible Benefits Plan may buy or sell up to 40 PTO hours/year through the Plan.
4. For current sick leave bank balances as of conversion date: Lock in current balance and keep for payout at retirement per labor contract and/or use for illnesses exceeding 40 consecutive work hours (see attached 7/30/02 policy).
5. As of initial conversion to PTO: • Vacation hours as of conversion transfer on a 1-for-1 basis • Unused sick hours as of conversion date transfer, at the employee’s option, on a 2-for-1 basis (i.e., 80 sick hours = 40 PTO hours). A maximum of 80 sick hours may be converted • Personal time coverts on a 1-for-1 basis unless conversion occurs at the start of a fiscal year when personal leave banks are zero
6. Each fiscal year after conversion, employees may opt to transfer up to a maximum of 80 unused sick hours to the PTO bank on a 2 for 1 basis (i.e., 80 sick hours = 40 PTO hours).
7. PTO usage will be recorded as either scheduled, if the time off was approved at least one day in advance, or unscheduled, if the time off was called in or approved the same day it occurred.
8. At voluntary separation, death, or retirement, unused PTO will be paid in full (100%) at the employees’ then-current rate of pay. The maximum cash-out cannot exceed 752 PTO hours in the year of voluntary s...
PTO Schedule i. Beginning of Accrual and Schedule. Regular Full-Time employees shall accrue PTO and Extended Sick Leave (ESL) in accordance with the schedule set forth below, based upon their continuous length of Regular employment. PTO/ESL accrual is prorated for Regular Part-Time employees on the basis of hours paid during a pay period. Benefits begin upon the first (1st) day of employment, subject to the provisions described in the following Sections.
