The Holiday Qualification clause defines the criteria an employee must meet to be eligible for holiday benefits, such as paid time off on recognized holidays. Holiday Qualification. To qualify for pay hereunder, an employee must actually work or be excused on the calendar days preceding and following the day celebrated as a holiday. If not scheduled to work the day before or after the holiday then to qualify, the employee must either work his entire last regularly scheduled working day before and after the day celebrated as a holiday, unless excused.

Overtime may not be used towards satisfying this requirement. It is understood and agreed that an employee who receives a disciplinary suspension, which includes a given holiday(s), shall not be entitled to holiday pay. If the reason for absence on the scheduled work day before or after a designated holiday is claimed illness, the employee must present medical certification that the employee was ill and unable to work on the day(s) of absence.
Holiday Qualification. The employee must work his/her scheduled shift before and after a holiday to be eligible for holiday pay. The foregoing sentence does not apply for one (1) holiday per calendar year. The employee shall not forfeit his or her holiday pay if such absence is due to a bona fide illness. The Employer may require a doctor’s certificate or other reasonable proof of illness. The Employer shall exercise good faith discretion in acquiring such proof.

  • Foreign Qualification The Company shall perform such acts as may be necessary or appropriate to register the Company as a foreign limited liability company authorized to do business in such jurisdictions as the Company shall deem necessary or appropriate in connection with the business of the Company.

  • Due Qualification Seller is duly qualified to do business as a foreign corporation, is in good standing, and has obtained all necessary licenses and approvals in all jurisdictions in which the ownership or lease of its property or the conduct of its business requires such qualification.
