Protection of Persons and Property. 1. Compliance with Federal, State, and Local Laws, Ordinances, and Regulations Contractor agrees to comply with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances, including, but not necessarily limited to, the following: • Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act. • Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, as amended by the Equal Employment Opportunity Act which prohibits discrimination I employment. • Age Discrimination Act of 1973. • Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act. • Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act prohibiting discrimination in the employment of the handicapped. • Fair Labor Standards Act. • Chapter 112, Florida Statutes, prohibiting conflicts of interest in the procurement of contracts with a governmental agency. • Trench Excavation System & Shoring standards as adopted by the Department of Labor and Employment Security and related trenching regulations. • Construction Work Hours and Safety Act (Construction Safety Act)
