PROMOTIONS OUTSIDE OF BARGAINING UNIT. 16.01 Employees promoted to a position outside of the bargaining unit shall carry their seniority with them and said employee may return to the bargaining unit without loss of seniority and accumulated staff benefits within a three (3) month period. In order to return to the bargaining unit, an employee must give the Employer within the above mentioned three (3) month time period, their notice of intention to return to the bargaining unit. Such notice shall be sufficient to allow the Employer to provide ten (10) working days' notice to a displaced employee should the above mentioned employee return to the bargaining unit require a layoff.
