PROMOTION, SENIORITY AND PERMANENCE - PROFESSIONAL LIBRARIANS. 11.2.10 Promotion is in no sense automatic. A Professional Librarian shall ordinarily meet the requirements of a higher rank before becoming eligible for that rank and he/she must demonstrate a standard of excellence appropriate to the rank sought.
