Prolonged Statutory Clause Samples
The Prolonged Statutory clause defines the procedures and consequences that apply when a statutory event or requirement extends beyond a specified period. Typically, this clause outlines what happens if a legal or regulatory obligation, such as a government approval or statutory waiting period, is delayed for an unusually long time. For example, if a contract depends on a permit that is not granted within the expected timeframe, this clause may allow parties to renegotiate terms or terminate the agreement. Its core function is to manage the risks and uncertainties associated with extended statutory delays, providing a clear mechanism for resolution if such delays occur.
