Project Planning Phase. The Project Planning phase follows on from the approval of the project (Project Initiation phase) and involves the scoping of the project in more detail and the planning of the project tasks and activities needed to execute the project. This includes reaffirming the identified benefits and potential risks the project could encounter. The output documentation of this phase is a Project Charter document, Benefits Realisation Register, Risk Register and a Project Plan.
