Progress to Date. Phase 1 of the Study is being completed as scheduled and significant progress has been made on targeted community engagement. Local governments are requesting that new projects and initiatives be coordinated through our Scuppernong Engagement Team to streamline and reduce duplication of effort, so the team coordinates closely with other regional projects through RISE, RCPP, and an Audubon project to promote nature-based solutions in Tyrrell County. FY24-25 Plans: It is not anticipated that BIL funding will be needed until FY24/25; the project will continue under state WRDG funds (2025) and NOAA/NERRA (Fall 2024). Separate work plan entries may be created for pilot demonstration projects, such as the FIMAN water level stations.
