PROFESSIONAL DISCUSSIONS. In recognition of the professional standing of Administrators and the fact that Administrators’ ideas and opinions systematically and periodically collated and expressed are of significant value in improving the quality of education in, as well as the efficient and economical operation of, the Wellesley School System, and in recognition of the Association’s knowledge of the ideas and opinions of Administrators, the Committee agrees that not more frequently than once every three (3) months for a duration of no longer than three (3) hours, it or its designated representative will upon request of the Association meet at a reasonable time and place with a representative of the Association to discuss matters of concern or interest to the Association. The Association agrees that at least one (1) week before the date scheduled for such discussion, the Association will submit to the Superintendent of Schools a written agenda of subjects which it desires to discuss with the Committee at that meeting and the discussion will be confined to subjects on that agenda. It is further agreed that the provisions of this Article will not be construed as broadening the scope of other Articles of this Agreement, including but not limited to ARTICLE 21, or as broadening the application of this Agreement as a whole, and these provisions will not make any matter a grievance that would not be a grievance in this absence nor make any matter a mandatory subject of discussion at any time other than at the meetings described in this Article if the subject would not be a mandatory subject of discussion in the absence of the provisions of this Article.
PROFESSIONAL DISCUSSIONS. Encourage a platform for medical experts from across the Nordic countries to engage in scientific discussions about various treatment methods. Patient associations can facilitate conversations regarding the diversity of available treatments and the absence ofa one-size-fits- all solution. Equality in treatment & patient involvement • Involving Doctors: Promote doctor involvement in discussing treatment choices and presenting a range of options to patients. Patient associations can collaborate with experts willing to participate in a Nordic forum to address these issues. • Nordic Workgroup: Consider establishing a Nordic workgroup for joint collaboration and potential funding efforts. Exploring the decision to pursue this or seek support from international patient associations.

  • Informal Discussions Before a written grievance is submitted, informal discussions will take place between the aggrieved party, the principal or supervisor and Education Minnesota - OSSEO representative. Through these discussions the parties will attempt to resolve the problem. Subd. 2. Level I: If the grievance is not resolved through informal discussions, the aggrieved party may submit the grievance in writing to the principal or supervisor. A copy of such written grievance must simultaneously be filed with Human Resources. The Director, Human Resources will set a meeting date within five (5) days of receipt of the written grievance. The Director, Human Resources will give a written decision on the grievance to the parties involved within ten (10) days after the meeting. Subd. 3. Level II: In the event the grievance is not resolved in Level I, the decision rendered may be appealed to the superintendent of schools, provided such appeal is made in writing within five (5) days after receipt of the decision in Level I. If a grievance is properly appealed to the superintendent, the superintendent or designee will set a time to meet regarding the grievance within fifteen (15) days after receipt of the appeal. Within ten (10) days after the meeting, the superintendent or designee will issue a decision in writing to the parties involved. Subd. 4. Level III: In the event the grievance is not resolved in Level II, the decision rendered may be appealed to the School Board, provided such appeal is made in writing within five (5) days after receipt of the decision in Level II. If a grievance is properly appealed to the School Board, the School Board will set a time to hear the grievance within twenty (20) days after the receipt of the appeal. Within twenty (20) days after the meeting, the School Board will issue its decision in writing to the parties involved. At the option of the School Board, a committee or representative(s) of the School Board may be designated by the School Board to hear the appeal at this level and report its findings and recommendations to the School Board. The School Board will then render its decision.

  • Informal Discussion If an employee has a problem relating to a work situation, the employee is encouraged to request a meeting with his or her immediate supervisor to discuss the problem in an effort to clarify the issue and to work cooperatively towards settlement.

  • Discussion Staff has reviewed the proposal relative to all relevant policies and advise that it is reasonably consistent with the intent of the MPS. Attachment B provides an evaluation of the proposed development agreement in relation to the relevant MPS policies.

  • Professional Development 9.01 Continuous professional development is a hallmark of professional nursing practice. As a self-regulating profession, nursing recognizes the importance of maintaining a dynamic practice environment which includes ongoing learning, the maintenance of competence, career development, career counselling and succession planning. The parties agree that professional development includes a diverse range of activities, including but not limited to formal academic programs; short-term continuing education activities; certification programs; independent learning committee participation. The parties recognize their joint responsibility in and commitment to active participation in the area of professional development.
