Common use of Problem Solving Stage Clause in Contracts

Problem Solving Stage. An employee, a representative of the Employer or a representative of the Union is encouraged to resolve any dispute through face-to-face discussion with the person(s) with whom there is a dispute. Problem solving must occur within ten (10) working days of the incident giving rise to the dispute. If either party intends to proceed to the Formal Review Stage, the request to initiate a grievance or policy grievance must also be filed within the same ten working days in accordance with Article 33.
