Common use of Probationary Release Clause in Contracts

Probationary Release. a. Probationary unit members, as defined in Article VIII, may be released from their employment with the Charter at any time and for any reason. b. During the first and second year of probationary service, a unit member may be released from employment without cause. To the extent possible, the Charter shall provide notice to unit members no later than May 15th if they will not be rehired for the subsequent school year. If released during the school year, the unit member shall be provided severance in the amount of one (1) month’s salary.
