Common use of Prior to commencement of performance Clause in Contracts

Prior to commencement of performance. Engineer shall furnish Owner with a Certificate of Insurance for each policy. Each certificate is to be signed by a person authorized by that insurer to bind coverage on its behalf. The Certificate(s) must be in a form approved by Owner. Owner may require complete, certified copies of any or all policies at any time. All liability insurance deductibles must be identified in the Certificates of Insurance provided to the Owner. The deductibles for all insurance policies required herein shall be considered a form of self-insurance.
