Common use of Primary Employment Obligation Clause in Contracts

Primary Employment Obligation. Tuition assistance approval does not excuse the employee from work. Employees are expected to schedule classes that do not conflict with regular working hours. If a course is only available during work hours, the employee’s supervisor will decide whether or not to release him or her from work to attend the class based on the work requirements of the department, charging leave banks where appropriate. Employees are expected to make up lost work time.
