Common use of Premium Time Clause in Contracts

Premium Time. The provisions in Schedule 7 of the Terms and Conditions apply to recognise the unsocial nature of work done in Premium Time, either for the honorary employer or the substantive employer, and the flexibility needed by clinical academic consultants for whom work at these times has been contracted. On any occasion where you are scheduled to work through the Premium Time period, as part of your duties under this honorary contract, we will ensure that you have adequate rest both before and after this period of duty.18
