Pre-Scheduling. (All pre-scheduled shifts under the following clauses will be scheduled by seniority on a rotational basis) • Regular part time up to 22.5 hours per week, • Cost-centered casuals up to one shift per week, • Regular part time up to 75 hours per pay, • Cost-centered casuals up to 75 hours per pay, • Non cost-centered casuals up to 75 hours per pay a. The Hospital will endeavour to schedule regular part time employees in the department or unit shifts totaling 22.5 hours per week if such work is available in the department or unit. For the purpose of this paragraph, shifts will be at least four hours in duration. Such hours may be averaged over a 2 week pay period. b. All available full shifts will be pre-scheduled to regular part-time employees up to 22.5 hours per week. Available part shifts will then be pre-scheduled to regular part-time employees to make up for any shortfall in hours, up to 22.5 hours per week. For the purposes of this Article, a full shift is 7.5 hours or 11.25 hours and a part shift is less than 7.5 hours. c. Any remaining available full or part shifts may be pre-scheduled to casual employees, who are cost-centred within the unit or department, or students at the discretion of the manager up to one shift per week (whether full or part shift).
