All postings shall also state "this position requires union membership".
(c) If a regular employee shall take a leave that is assumed to last more than one month, such a bona fide reason to amend this timeframe subject to mutual agreement between vacancy will be posted as a temporary position. If the Employer incumbent does not return, and the Union. General Manager or designate determines that the service hours are expected to continue, the vacancy will be posted as a regular position.
(d) If a vacancy is posted and filled by an employee currently in the bargaining unit, the successful applicant will be notified within one week of the decision being made and the name of the successful candidate will be posted on the bulletin board.
(e) An employee granted a temporary promotion or transfer shall return to his/her former job and pay rate without loss of seniority and accrued perquisites when the temporary promotion or transfer terminates.
(f) A copy of each new electronic the job posting will shall be emailed sent to the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ coordinator or designate at staff representative of the worksite. This provision Union and an additional copy shall be operative from date of execution until given to the successful renegotiation Chairperson of the 2019 PCABargaining Committee.

If the Employer does not receive a response within this time period, the job will be offered to the next eligible applicant. This provision shall be operative from the date of execution until the successful renegotiation of the 2019 PCAand eight hours per day (40 hours per week).
(D1) Employees who post into any temporary vacancy are expected to complete the term of the vacancy. This shall not apply in circumstances where a new temporary assignment provides additional hours and/or eligibility for Health and Welfare Benefits.
(2) Notwithstanding Article 17.01(A(1) above, nursing vacancies in mental health services and in extended and intermediate care services will be dual posted for RNs and RPNs.
(E) The Employer will post all Nurse 3 positions (with the exception of Public Health and Preventative Nurses) without the requirement an employee who posts into a temporary vacancy may apply for a BScN degree. Where subsequent temporary vacation without completing the Employer determines that a Nurse 4 position requires a BScN degree, the position will be posted with a notification that states the Employer will equally consider an equivalent combination of education, training and experience (with the exception of Public Health and Preventative Nurses). A nurse holds education, training, and experience equivalent to the BScN/BScPN degree if s/he:
a) is registered with the College of Registered Nurses or College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of British Columbia; and
b) meets all licensing requirements for continued competency as set by CRNBC/CRPNBC; and
c) has recently practiced in a similar practice setting for a minimum of five (5) years; or
d) holds any other combination of education and experience that the Employer deems to be equivalent to a BScN or BScPN degreecurrent temporary assignment once per calendar year.

(F) Notwithstanding Article 17.01(A), 17.01(B), 17.01(C) and 17.01(D) above, if an employee is promoted or transfers into a new position within ninety (90) days of commencing work in a previous position, the Employer determines that a Nurse 4 may award the resulting vacancy in the previous position requires a BScN degree, the position will be posted with a notification that states the Employer will equally consider an equivalent combination of education, training and experience (with the exception of Public Health and Preventative Nurses). A nurse holds education, training, and experience equivalent to the BScN/BScPN degree if s/he:
a) is registered with next eligible candidate for that position without re-posting the College of Registered Nurses or College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of British Columbia; and

1. If a job is being changed from one shift to another, Employees working on the same job shall be notified by written memo by the manager and shall be given preference by seniority in filling the vacancy prior to the job being posted or designate the job changing shifts. Movement under this clause is not subject to any restrictions except management retains the right to restrict movement of Employees on written warning or more severe discipline.
2. When a department fills a position(s) but does not increase its full-time Employee count due to reorganization.
3. When filling temporary vacancies:
a. In the event of a temporary vacancy, it may be filled intradepartmentally by competitive selection in accordance with Section 4 of this Article. As temporary vacancies occur, existing Employees will be used first to fill the temporary vacancy by intradepartmentally posting the vacancy for five (5) working days through a memorandum from the supervisor to all Employees in that department. Temporaries will be brought in at the worksite. This provision lowest grade level possible.
b. Employees filling temporary vacancies intradepartmentally shall not have permanent right to such position and shall occupy such position subject to the rights of the former holder of such position.
c. Employees filling such temporary vacancies shall be operative from date given their former position without any loss of execution until seniority but at the successful renegotiation of the 2019 PCAsalary rate paid to them in their former position plus any negotiated salary adjustment.

d19:04 A posting will identify the following: description of the area or topic of research, remuneration, supervisor and academic unit, date of posting and application deadline, start date and duration of the appointment, required qualifications, the application procedure, and any documentation required for application (e.g., CV, references, publications, etc.). All postings shall include an employment equity statement inviting all qualified applicants to make application. All postings shall include the following statement: “Employment as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Toronto is covered by the terms of the CUPE 3902 Unit 5 Collective Agreement.” All postings shall include the following statement: “The normal hours of work are 40 hours per week for a full-time postdoctoral fellow (pro-rated for those holding a partial appointment) holds any other combination of education and experience recognizing that the Employer deems to needs of the employee’s research and training and the needs of the supervisor’s research program may require flexibility in the performance of the employee’s duties and hours of work.” If it is known at the time of posting that the supervisor will regularly require evening or weekend work, this will be equivalent indicated in the posting.
19:05 All applicants who apply in response to a BScN or BScPN degreeposting under this Article shall be advised in writing of the outcome of their applications within ten (10) working days after the receipt in the Department of employment of the written acceptance of the position by the successful candidate.

Postings. (a) Vacancies of a regular nature that are to be filled, for positions in the Bargaining Unit, shall be posted throughout the Public Service or in Regions or Ministries as deemed necessary by the appropriate Deputy Minister. Ministries are not precluded from filling more than one vacancy from each posting.
(Ab) The Employer notice of postings shall post notice contain the following information: Nature of position, qualification, skills, whether shift work is involved, wage or salary rate or range and where applicable, specific location. Such qualifications may not be established in an arbitrary or discriminatory manner.
(c) Eligibility lists may be established through the posting process and used to fill vacancies. When eligibility lists are established it shall be stated on the posting. Eligibility lists shall be in effect for a maximum of 12 months from the establishment of the list.
(d) Vacancies of a temporary nature which are known to exceed seven months shall be posted within 30 days. Such postings will normally be limited to the seniority block within each jurisdictional unit as described in Clause 13.03. In those circumstances where the posting is not limited, the provisions of Memorandum of Understanding #14, Board and Lodging and Relocation Expenses, will not apply.
(e) Notices shall be posted at least 14 days prior to the closing date of the competition except as provided for in Clauses 12.08 (Relocations), 12.09 (Transfer Without Posting) and 19.02 (Rehabilitation Committee).
(f) On posted competitions, an employee is ineligible for transfer or demotion from one geographic location to another within two years at the previous location. The closing date of the competition shall determine eligibility. A selection panel may waive this restriction with the approval of the applicant's Deputy Minister or designate. This restriction does not apply to supernumerary employees or to promotions.
(g) Employees who are absent from their places of employment for periods of longer than 14 calendar days may make a preliminary application for, and in anticipation of, vacancies or new positions which may be posted in their absence.
(h) Temporary vacancies of not more than seven months in duration shall be filled in accordance with Clause 27.08(b) (Temporary Substitution).

(Aa) The Employer shall post notice Vacancies of all nursing vacanciesa regular nature that are to be filled, describing for positions in the positionbargaining unit, department, worksite, the date of commencement, a summary of the job description and the required qualifications. Where the Employer has the capability to do so, all vacancies shall be posted electronicallywithin thirty (30) days. Such postings shall be throughout the Commission.
(Bb) Positions will Eligibility lists may be posted twice a week established through the posting process and used to fill vacancies. When eligibility lists are established it shall be stated on Tuesdays and Thursdays the posting. Eligibility lists shall be in effect for a period maximum of seventy-two one (721) hours. The Employer will make selection decisions within year from the establishment of the list.
(c) Vacancies of a temporary nature which are known to exceed seven (7) business days of months shall be posted within thirty (30) days. Such postings will normally be limited to the geographic area. The closing date of the competition shall determine eligibility. A selection panel may waive this restriction with the approval of the Commissioner or designate. This restriction does not apply to redundant employees or to promotions.
(Ef) The Employer will post all Nurse 3 positions notice of postings shall contain the following information: nature of position, qualifications, skills, whether shift work is involved, wage or salary rate or range, and where applicable, specific location. (1) full-time or proportion of part-time or casual;
(2) minimum number of hours per week;
(3) rate of pay;

Postings. (a) When the Employer acquires work at a location (address) which it was not already serving at the time the work was acquired, the work will be performed on a temporary basis as assigned by the Employer in its sole and unfettered discretion for a maximum period of twenty-one (21) calendar days. After twenty-one (21) calendar days, the work will be performed pursuant to the results of the posting process set out in paragraph (c) below.

(d) A vacancy resulting from the placing of the successful applicant in the position so posted shall be filled by the Employer in accordance with Article 6 of this agreement, or where there are no employees on lay-off, it shall be filled in the Employer's sole and unfettered discretion.
(e) Vacancies will be awarded based on skill, ability and qualifications and a successful applicant must in fact meet those criteria. If those criteria are relatively equal as between the two (2) or more best applicants and if those particular applicants in fact meet the criteria, then the vacancy will be awarded based on seniority among those particular applicants.

23.03 Notwithstanding the above, she may submit for all vacancies occurring during the summer period and the Board knows in advance of the end of June, other than those of positions of added responsibility, positions will be posted in each workplace for three (3) days during the week of June 25th. Any vacancies, which occur after June 25th, will be posted during the following school year.
(a) For the purpose of this Article “acting position of added res ponsibility” means a response through temporary placement for a designate. Teacher in a position of added responsibility.
a. All acting positions of added responsibility shall be posted in all schools and work sites at least (5) school days.
b. When known the term of the acting position shall be indicated on the posting.
c. If the Employer acting position is required to be extended to the end of the school year, the Teacher in the acting position shall be entitled to continue in that position. The Teacher in the acting position shall have the right to refuse the appointment.
d. Notwithstanding anything in this article, the Board may, through the appointment, fill a position temporarily in the most convenient manner where the temporary vacancy occurs after the start of the semester and does not receive a response within this time period, extend beyond the job will be offered to end of the next eligible applicantsemester. (C) The Employer will notify the successful applicant by email notification to the employee's preferred email address. In circumstances where the Employer does not have the capacity for email notification for the posting process, the Employer shall utilize another manner of notification as per the Employer's operational policy. Once the notification has been sent and confirmation of receipt received, the employee shall accept or decline the position within forty-eight (48) hours of the time of confirmed receipt of offer. In the event that the employee is unavailable to respond, she may submit a response through a designate. If the Employer does not receive a response within this time period, the job will be offered to the next eligible applicant. This provision shall be operative from the date of execution until the successful renegotiation letter, if there is no interested or qualified employee within the department, the County will be free to post the job's availability to all County employees and/or advertise the position externally. Current qualified employees shall be given priority in filling the vacant position. When a vacancy for a permanent position occurs, it shall be posted as set forth above. The position shall be filled within 30 working days from the date of posting. Reasonable extension of the 2019 PCA.
(D) Notwithstanding Article 17.01(A) 30 day period shall be granted upon request of the department head to the Union president. Qualified senior applicants shall be awarded transfers to identical classification in the same manner as provided above. Any dispute over seniority or qualifications shall be subject to the grievance procedures outlined in this agreement. The employer may only select a non-bargaining unit person to fill a vacant position if there is no qualified bargaining unit employee in the pool of applicants. Lacking qualified in-house applicants, nursing the employer will fill vacancies from outside sources. All posting shall list the qualifications required of the job seeker and any pe1iinent information concerning hours of work, position description, and applicable wages. Qualified senior applicants shall be awarded transfers to identical classifications in mental health services and the same manner as listed above. In matter of transfer or promotion, given substantially equal qualifications, the senior qualified candidate shall be given the position unless the senior employee withdraws. Neither promotion nor transfer shall be granted in extended and intermediate care services will an arbitrary fashion. Any dispute over seniority or qualifications shall be dual posted for RNs and RPNs.

The Employer will post all Nurse 3 positions (with may only select a non-bargaining unit person to fill a vacant position if there is no qualified bargaining unit employee in the exception pool of Public Health and Preventative Nurses) without the requirement for a BScN degreeapplicants. Where the Employer determines that a Nurse 4 position requires a BScN degreeLacking qualified in-house applicants, the position will be posted with a notification that states the Employer will equally consider an equivalent combination of education, training and experience (with the exception of Public Health and Preventative Nurses). A nurse holds education, training, and experience equivalent to the BScN/BScPN degree if s/he:
a) is registered with the College of Registered Nurses or College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of British Columbia; and
b) meets all licensing requirements for continued competency as set by CRNBC/CRPNBC; and
c) has recently practiced in a similar practice setting for a minimum of five (5) years; or
d) holds any other combination of education and experience that the Employer deems to be equivalent to a BScN or BScPN degreefill vacancies from outside sources.

Postings. (a) Vacancies that are to be filled, for positions in the bargaining unit, shall be posted within thirty (30) days. The Employer is not precluded from using the posting process to establish eligibility lists. When this procedure is to be used it shall be stated on the posting.
(Ab) Positions or vacancies shall be posted and filled when the position or vacancy is identified to be more than six (6) months except for maternity leave and leave granted pursuant to Article 19.13.
(c) The notice of postings shall contain the following information: nature of position, qualifications, skills, whether shift work is involved, wage or salary rate or range, and where applicable, specific location. Such qualifications may not be established in an arbitrary or discriminatory manner.
(d) Notices shall be posted on the appropriate bulletin board at each worksite at least fourteen (14) days prior to the closing date of the competition except as provided for in clauses 12.4, 12.5 and 12.6 of this Agreement and except where a vacancy has arisen from an employee resigning with less than fourteen (14) days' notice, in which case the Employer may post the vacancy, which will include listing the posting in the all staff message system, for a period of seven (7) working days.
(e) Subject to Article 1.5(b) of this Agreement, all job postings shall state: "This position is open to both male and female applicants."
(1) The Employer shall post notice of all nursing vacancies, describing fill vacancies from within the position, department, worksite, the date of commencement, a summary of the job description and bargaining unit providing employees are available with the required qualifications. Where the Employer has the capability to do so, all vacancies shall be posted electronicallyminimum qualifications before hiring new employees.
(B2) Positions will be posted twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays for a period of seventy-two (72) hours. The Employer will make selection decisions within seven (7) business days of the posting close date, unless there is a bona fide reason to amend this timeframe subject to mutual agreement between the Employer and the Union. (h) The Employer agrees to make every reasonable effort to ensure that the workloads of regular employees will post all Nurse 3 not be unnecessarily increased as a result of positions temporarily vacant due to illness, vacation leave or any other reason.

A nurse holds education, training, and experience equivalent to the BScN/BScPN degree if s/he:
a) is registered with next eligible ▇▇▇▇▇- date for that position without re-posting the College of Registered Nurses or College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of British Columbia; and
b) meets all licensing requirements for continued competency as set by CRNBC/CRPNBC; and
c) has recently practiced in a similar practice setting for a minimum of five (5) years; or
d) holds any other combination of education and experience that the Employer deems to be equivalent to a BScN or BScPN degreevacancy.
