Common use of POLITICAL PARTICIPATION Clause in Contracts

POLITICAL PARTICIPATION. 49.01 In the event that an employee wishes to participate in political activities such as running for political office or campaigning for the candidate of his choice, etc., and should such activities require time away from work, the employee shall request a leave of absence without pay to cover the period of his involvement in the political process. Such leave shall not be unreasonably withheld by the Employer.
