Common use of PLANT CLOSURE Clause in Contracts

PLANT CLOSURE. Section 1. The parties agree severance pay will be paid to employees, in the event of total closure and shutdown of the plant, in accordance with the terms of the Employment Standards Act of Ontario. Section 2. The Company and the Union agree to discuss prior to the time of closure or relocation, the feasibility of employing as many as possible, current employees at the new facility.
