Common use of Penalty Meal Hours Clause in Contracts

Penalty Meal Hours. a) Where an Employee works from an off watch period into an on watch period, he shall be given one-half (½) hour in which to eat immediately following completion of the work. Where an Employee does not receive one-half (½) hour in which to eat, he shall be credited with an additional one-half (½) hour at the overtime rate as a penalty thereof.
