Common use of Payment of Income Taxes Clause in Contracts

Payment of Income Taxes. Consultant is responsible for paying when due all income taxes, including estimated taxes, incurred as a result of the compensation paid by City to Consultant for services satisfactorily rendered under this Agreement. On request, Consultant will provide City with proof of timely payment. Consultant agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless City for any and all claims, costs, losses, fees, penalties, interest, or damages, including court costs and reasonable attorney’s fees, resulting from Consultant’s failure to comply with this provision.
