The Patrol Section clause defines the responsibilities and procedures related to security or monitoring patrols within a specified area or facility. Patrol Section. Uniformed Sergeants (3) (total); however not more than one (1) per any eight (8) hour shift assignment. Uniformed Patrolmen -Two (2) per shift
Patrol Section. (i) Each Patrol Team shall have two Leave Lists.
(ii) One Leave List shall be signed by the Sergeant, Corporal and Constable most eligible for promotion assigned to the section. In the absence of a Constable most eligible for promotion, the senior Constable within the Team shall sign on this list.
(iii) The second Leave List shall be signed by the remaining Constables within the Team.
(iv) All Members in the Patrol Section may sign Floater Time, to a maximum of 48 hours, on the Leave List. Should the Member later cancel or alter the dates of this Floater Time, it shall be treated as regular Floater Time. Signed up Floater time on the leave list shall be deemed to be the first block of leave to be used in each new year.
Patrol Section. 1. Workday - The normal workday for patrol officers, corporals and sergeants assigned to the Patrol Section shall be ten hours.
2. Workweek - A normal scheduled workweek shall consist of four consecutive days and total 40 hours, however, under Section 207(k) of the Fair Labor Standards Act, the City shall not be required to pay the overtime rate of pay (time and one-half) for these MOS until such MOS has worked 43 work hours.
a. The workweek will begin on a Monday at 0000 hours and end seven consecutive 24-hour periods later.
b. However, for weekend night shifts the workweek will begin on Monday at 0600 hours and end seven consecutive 24-hour periods later.
3. Work Shifts - Normal work shifts may include day, swing, and graveyard shifts, and shall be on a permanent basis subject to shift bids as provided herein.
4. Pay Period: The pay period for these MOS shall be two consecutive workweeks, or 14 days.
