Common use of Packing Clause in Contracts

Packing. 8.1 The Contractor shall provide such packing as is required to prevent damage to or deterioration of the Goods during transit to and storage at the final destination, and as may reasonably be anticipated as prudent, bearing in mind the final destination of the Goods and their mode of transport and so as to ensure that the Goods reach their destination in good condition. The packing shall be sufficient, without limitation, to withstand rough handling and exposure to extreme temperatures. The cost of such packing shall be included in the Contract Price.

Packing. 8.1 34.1. The Contractor shall provide such packing of the Goods/Items/ as is required sufficient to prevent their damage to or deterioration of the Goods during storage / transit to their final destination as indicated in the Contract. Packing case size and storage at weights shall take into consideration, where appropriate, the final destination, and as may reasonably be anticipated as prudent, bearing in mind remoteness of the final destination of the Goods and their mode of transport and so as to ensure that the Goods reach their destination in good condition. The packing shall be sufficientwithstand, without limitation, to withstand rough handling and handling, exposure to extreme temperatures, salt and precipitation at all points in storage / transit. The Contractor shall arrange and pay for the packing of the Goods to the place of destination as specified in the Contract, and the cost of such packing thereof shall be included in the Contract Price.
