Outside the Bargaining Unit. When an employer temporarily assigns an employee to carry out the assigned responsibilities of a higher paying classification outside of the bargaining unit for a period in excess of one-half of one shift, the employee shall receive an allowance of three dollars for each shift from the time of the assignment.
