Organizational Security Dues Deduction. 1. An employee in the bargaining unit may become a member of the Association by completing an authorization form issued by the Association.
2. The Association has the sole and exclusive right to have employee organization membership dues deducted by the employer for employees in the bargaining unit.
3. The employer shall deduct, in accordance with the Association’s dues schedule, dues, from the wages of unit members who are members of the Association. Dues shall remain in effect until expressly revoked in writing by the employee to the Association. The District shall maintain dues deduction until the Association provides notice to cease dues deductions.
4. The employer shall, without charge, pay to the Association within thirty (30) days of the deduction all sums so deducted.
5. Along with each monthly payment to the Association, the employer shall, without charge, furnish the Association with an alphabetical list of all employees in the bargaining unit that are members of the Association and paying dues, identifying them by name, last four of their social security number, and indicating the amount deducted. This is not in lieu of the bargaining unit information that is submitted to CSEA in regard to AB119.

Hold Harmless 32 As a condition to this Article, the Association agrees to indemnify and financially hold 33 harmless the District, its Board of Education, each individual Board of Education 34 member, and all administrators of the District against any and all claims, demands, 35 costs, lawsuits, including attorney fees for attorneys individually chosen by the District, 36 Board of Education, each individual Board of Education member and all 1 administrators of the District for the purpose of defending said persons or District, or 2 any other form of liability of expense, including but not limited to, all court or 3 administrative agency costs that may arise out of or by reason of action taken by the 4 District for the purpose of complying with this Article. As a condition precedent to the 5 enforcement of this Article of this Agreement, the Association, in addition to itself 6 agreeing to indemnify the expenses as provided herein shall cause its parent 7 organization, the California School Employees Association, to agree in writing to 8 indemnify, guarantee and hold financially harmless the District, its Board of Education, 9 each individual Board of Education member and all administrators from liabilities and 10 expense in terms exactly consistent with the Association’s duties...
Organizational Security Dues Deduction. Academic Mentor – Tutorial Services unit members shall be subject to Article I (Union Recognition/Security/Dues) of the OSEA/SEIU Local 1021 Substitute Agreement. This provision shall be waived for high school students.
