Common use of Ordered Clause in Contracts

Ordered. Provisions including the words “as ordered,” “as directed,” “as required,” “as permitted,” “as allowed” or words or phrases of like import shall be understood as the order, direction, requirement, permission or allowance of Owner only to the extent of judging compliance with the terms of this Agreement; none of these terms shall imply that Owner has any authority or responsibility for supervision of any Contractor Worker or any of the Work, such supervision and the sole responsibility therefor being strictly reserved for Contractor.
