Common use of Options of Cancellation Clause in Contracts

Options of Cancellation. a. Changes to the Deferred Salary Leave Plan may be made effective as of any annual anniversary date of entrance into the Plan. b. If a teacher is required to temporarily discontinue teaching but remains in the employ of PSSD, the teacher may request in writing that the Deferred Salary Leave plan be suspended for the period of absence and the Division shall grant such request. c. In extenuating circumstances and with the consent of PSSD, the participant may withdraw from the plan upon giving not less than six (6) months’ notice of intent to do so prior to the date established for the leave of absence.
