Common use of Nurses’ Status While on Mandatory Low-Census Clause in Contracts

Nurses’ Status While on Mandatory Low-Census. The Medical Center will provide an alternate assignment (e.g. alternate patient care assignment, Health Stream mandatory education, chart audits, department projects) within nursing services to the nurse prior to any mandatory low census. The nurse may choose voluntary low census in lieu of the alternate assignment. A nurse may be placed by the Medical Center in one (1) of the following three (3) categories if they have not reached their cap:
