Common use of Notification Requirements Clause in Contracts

Notification Requirements. a. Unless otherwise provided in this Article, an employee must make every reasonable effort to contact and notify the appropriate supervisor, administrator or designee the working day prior to the beginning of an absence, but notification shall not be later than the first half hour of the first day of absence except in unusual circumstances. Notwithstanding other provisions of this Article, an employee intending to be absent in excess of five (5) working days must also submit a written notification covering the period of absence to the appropriate supervisor no later than the third (3) day of absence.
