Common use of Notification of Assignments Clause in Contracts

Notification of Assignments. All Teachers shall be given written notice of their tentative assignments for the forthcoming year no later than the last day of the school year. In the event that changes in such assignments are proposed, the Teacher affected shall be notified promptly. In no event shall changes in the Teacher’s assignments be made later than fifteen (15) days preceding the commencement of the next school term unless an emergency situation exists. In the event of such an emergency, the Association shall be notified, and the Teacher shall be allowed to resign if such changes are not acceptable to the Teacher.
