Common use of Normal Working Time Clause in Contracts

Normal Working Time. a) Public Works Normal working time shall be eight (8) hours per day between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. with one-half (1/2) hour off for lunch with the exception of the afternoon shift winter maintenance positions agreed to in the Southills agreement and the sweeper /sand-truck as enumerated in Schedule "A" and shop operations. The hours of commencement shall be determined by mutual agreement. Any eight (8) hour shift is to be completed within nine (9) hours. The regular work week shall be Monday to Friday inclusive except for the year round utility weekend shift worker, and shall constitute forty (40) hours work in five (5) days except in the seven (7) day operations of the arena during winter schedule, sanitary landfill, and any other abnormal operation which may be negotiated and mutually agreed upon by the two parties. Afternoon Shift winter maintenance workers shall work 4 p.m. to 12:30
