Normal Work Hours. a) The work week shall be defined as Monday to Sunday. b) The regular work week shall consist of any five (5) consecutive days out of any seven (7) consecutive days starting on the first of such five (5) days. The sixth (6th) and seventh (7th) days shall normally be the days off. c) Each individual employee may have a different and distinct work week. d) The normal hours of work for employees shall be based on eight (8) hours per day, five (5) days per week. e) The Employer shall not lay-off and rehire the employee within the same work week for the sole purpose of avoiding overtime pay. f) Provided the Employer gives a minimum of seven (7) calendar days’ notice, an employee’s regular work week can be changed to meet the reasonable requirements of the Employer. If required, this alternative work week will be offered to employees in order of seniority, subject to ability to do the work.
